What is the Step-by-Step IVF Process?

  The Initial Consultation and Diagnostics

  Your journey begins with a comprehensive baseline assessment. Dr. Yuvraj will review your medical history, conduct advanced ovarian reserve testing (such as AMH levels), perform a pelvic ultrasound, and may request semen analysis. This data-driven approach ensures your treatment plan is built on facts, not guesswork.

  Ovarian Stimulation

  Unlike a natural menstrual cycle that typically yields one egg, IVF relies on multiple eggs to increase the chances of creating a viable embryo. You will receive targeted fertility medications to stimulate the ovaries. During this 10 to 12-day window, our clinic will closely monitor your follicular development through routine ultrasounds and hormone level tracking.

  Egg Retrieval

  Once the follicles reach optimum maturity, the egg retrieval is scheduled. This is a minor, 15 to 20-minute day-care surgical procedure performed under mild sedation. A specialized ultrasound-guided needle is used to safely extract the eggs from the ovaries.

  Fertilization and Embryo Culture

  The retrieved eggs are immediately transferred to our state-of-the-art IVF laboratory. Depending on the specific diagnosis, fertilization occurs through traditional IVF (mixing eggs and sperm in a culture dish) or ICSI, where a single healthy sperm is directly injected into a mature egg. Over the next 3 to 5 days, our expert embryologists monitor cell division, cultivating the embryos to the robust blastocyst stage.

  Embryo Transfer

  The final and most anticipated step is the embryo transfer. Using a thin, flexible catheter, Dr. Jadeja will painlessly place the highest-quality embryo into the uterine cavity. Any remaining viable embryos can be preserved through advanced cryopreservation (freezing) for future family expansion.

  Luteal Phase Support (Medications)

  The absolute most critical step immediately following the transfer is staying completely consistent with your prescribed hormonal medication protocol.

  The Beta-hCG Blood Test

  Approximately 9 to 14 days after the transfer, you will return to your fertility clinic for a quantitative Beta-hCG blood test. This blood test measures the exact levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), the hormone produced by the developing placenta.
